Mamelodi Sundowns moved back to within three points of Betway Premiership leaders Orlando Pirates after defeating Polokwane City 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
Prince Khoza and Kutlwano Letlhaku were given starts by the league champions, as Lebohang Maboe, Divine Lunga, Mosa Lebusa and Arthur Sales were also restored to the starting line-up.
Sundowns were slow out of the blocks, as the visitors threatened to take the lead through Manuel Kambala, but goalkeeper Ronwen Williams pulled off a smart save.
The title holders did get going though ahead of the half-hour mark with youngster Letlhaku drawing space on the edge of the box and curling in emphatically.
Williams remained busy in the closing minutes to half-time and had to guard his area timeously well to thwart Rise and Shine getting clear and levelling matters.
The visiting outfit made a substitution ahead of the resumption and saw Thato Letshedi come on in the place of veteran midfielder Cole Alexander.
Letlhaku nearly got a second goal five minutes into the second half through a strike inside the area, but unfortunately fired against the side-netting.
The development graduate caused more problems later on and on this occasion forced Manuel Sapunga to go down to repel a teasing shot for a corner-kick.
Erwin Saavedra made his first start of the season for Masandawana 10 minutes from the break and replaced Sphelele Mkhulise.
Letlhaku did bag a second goal midway through the second stanza when he pounced on yet another pass from Sales and finished well beyond Sapunga.
Rise and Shine got moments for a fightback towards the closing minutes, but unfortunately failed to pounce as Masandawana collected victory and avenged the loss suffered two weeks ago.
