Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Manqoba Mngqithi says he would still be happy if they went to the Carling Knockout final with "half a goal" after their 2-0 win over Marumo Gallants.
Sundowns booked their spot in the final thanks to goals by Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Neo Maema.
The Brazilians tactician paid tribute to his opposite number Dan Malesela and the job he has been doing at Gallants.

"Firstly, we commend the good work that Dan [Malesela] is doing, I think this is a very formidable team, people will take it for granted. They would not be in the semi-finals if they were not a good team," Mngqithi told SuperSport TV.
"They've got nice schemes and nice passing game. Technically, very sound players and I knew it was not going to be easy. We knew it's a long haul, we may not score in the first-half but if we get a chance to score in the second-half we will score second-half.
"But we must just hang in there and be persistent with our football actions. There were moments in the first-half we lacked mobility and the speed was not very good and we did not rotate our centre-backs to make it difficult for the single striker to take care of both of them.
"In the second-half we improved that and I think we played with a little bit more intensity and more desire to penetrate, no wonder we managed to get the two goals, which I believe maybe it could have been more, because I think we wasted a lot of opportunities in the final third."
The former Golden Arrows mentor went on and explained that all that matters in a cup game is go through to the next round.
"Cup match, no team is easy because one counter-attack could result into a goal and from there you have to dig deeper. If you look at Magesi yesterday, one big chance from a mistake by a full-back and they got an opportunity and they scored. And in a cup match, to come back is very difficult," Mngqithi carried on.
"And for our boys to sustain this good football actions and persist, ultimately it gave us what we wanted. We wanted to go to the final, if we go there with half a goal it would have been enough. If we got there with two goals it's even better."
