After recently returning from a year-long layoff, the 32-year-old Brazilian suffered another injury in his second game back. This time, it was hamstring tear that put him out of action for another four to six weeks.

It has been suggested that this setback has prompted the Blue Waves to consider the possibility of terminating the player's contract in January.

It has further been claimed that the Saudi Pro League outfit are eyeing up Cristiano Ronaldo as a potential replacement for the Brazilian.

However, Neymar's potential departure from the Gulf club could see him re-unite with former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi.

According to Sportskeeda, Inter Miami's MLS Cup playoff exit after losing to Atalanta United over the weekend sparked the Argentine's desire for the club to try and sign the Brazil international.

It is believed that Beckham has already initiated talks with the player's camp, allowing the possible reunion of Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar  – an adored trio often referred to as 'MSN'.

Suarez could be elsewhere next year as his contract with the Miami outfit is set to expire at the end of the season.

Although, last month, the player stated that his representatives were in talks with the club over a possible extension.
