SA star among international artist's catalogue of Messi, CR7 & Co.

A former PSL star joined the ranks of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski and others in an artistic tribute by a talented creator. 

The artist, who is growing a reputation for showcasing iconic footballers from around the globe, recently shared a striking poster dedicated to former Ajax Cape Town attacker Sameehg Doutie.

This tribute to the South African places him alongside some of the game's greatest players in @futbol_art_7's impressive collection.

In the post, the artist celebrated Doutie's impact in the Indian Super League (ISL), particularly during his time at Atletico de Kolkata (ATK). 

"Assist Man of athlatico de Kolkata @sameehgdoutie," the caption read. "Sameehg Doutie's journey in the Indian Super League (ISL) was a defining chapter of his career."

"Joining Atletico de Kolkata, Doutie quickly made his mark as a dynamic midfielder. His first season was particularly notable, as he played a pivotal role in helping ATK win the ISL championship in 2016.

"His exceptional passing ability earned him the title of the league's top assist provider during his stint, highlighting his influence on the field." 

The post further highlighted the midfielder's incredible work ethic and adaptability, which not only endeared him to fans but also showcased South African talent on an international platform.

Doutie initially left South Africa in July 2015 to join ATK from SuperSport United.

During this stint, the attacker became a household name in Indian football, recognised for his pinpoint assists and ability to change the game in crucial moments.

After leaving ATK in January 2017, he signed with Jamshedpur FC, continuing his career in the ISL until mid-2018.
