Nabi out for vengeance after Downs loss

On the back of an ego-crushing defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns, head coach Nasreddine Nabi says only a win will do when Kaizer Chiefs meets Richards Bay FC on Wednesday evening.

Amakhosi are set to return to competitive action on Wednesday after a three-week break due to the FIFA calendar.

They are ninth on the Betway Premiership log and have two defeats and a draw from their last three league matches.

The Natal Rich Boyz have a similar record of two defeats and a draw in their last three fixtures and have only collected one win from their seven league encounters so fa.

Speaking to media at the club's base in Naturena on Monday, Nabi revealed that he is still reeling from the 4-0 hammering by Sundowns in the Carling Knockout quarter-finals and that only a win would suffice at New Peter Mokaba Stadium.

"The situation for Richards Bay is not very good," Nabi noted.

"I'm sure Richards Bay will give 200% in this game, not because they are playing against Kaizer Chiefs but because they need a positive result. I spoke about it with my players about the situation.

"We respect Richards Bay, we know they will give 200% for good results for them, but for me, I don't have another solution - only three points.

"I want to win after the Sundowns game. The club needs a win, this club needs to win this game and the next game in Polokwane (against Royal AM). We need 200%," he emphasised.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
