Man Utd 'open to selling' star in January

Manchester United are reportedly willing to sell one of their attackers when the transfer window opens next month.

Christian Eriksen enjoyed a good start to the season under Erik ten Hag, but has only started one match since Ruben Amorim took charge in November.

The Danish midfielder has scored four goals and registered three assists this term, but his current contract with the Red Devils expires at the end of the season.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Red Devils are now open to the idea of selling the attacking midfielder in the January transfer window if a suitable offers comes in.

It is believed that the 32-year-old is expected to leave on a free transfer next year, but now there is a chance they could cash in on his services next month.

Coach Amorim spoke about his squad ahead of the transfer window opening in January.

"I'm really focused on seeing my players, to understand my players and I think that is one of the problems of the club. We have to focus on what we have, we have to focus on the academy and also to have clear profiles of the players when you get them. It's a lot of details you have to manage," the coach said, as per Goal.

"You can see set-pieces, sometimes you look at our team, we are a small team compared to the others. Every detail counts and you have to very clear, first in the profiles, arrange all the process and then go to that phase of buying and selling players."

"We have international players, they are good players and we need time to teach our idea and then we will see. Because this is a massive club. If you don't win, the coach goes, the players go. We have to improve as a team, we have to arrange a lot of things in our club before thinking about just buying or selling players. There's a lot to do, so let's focus on improving our players."
