2025 AFCON draw date revealed?

The date for the 2025 African Cup of Nations draw has reportedly been revealed.

The African football organising body held an Executive Committee ("EXCO") meeting on Monday, 16 December 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco.

The body confirmed that among the things on the agenda was the 2025 CAF Calendar following an eventful 2024 campaign.

Now, according to WinWin.com, during the meeting, CAF president Patrice Motsepe announced that the 2025 AFCON draw will take place on 27 January 2025.

All 24 nations who are set to compete at the tournament were confirmed in November, with many of the biggest teams booking a spot at the competition, with Ghana being the most notable absentee after they failed to qualify.

The showpiece is scheduled to take place from 21 December 2025 until 18 January 2026 in Morocco.

The matches are set to be held across six venues, including Casablanca's Mohammed V Complex and Rabat's Moulay Abdellah Complex.

The other host cities include Agadir, Marrakech, Fez, and Tangier.

Below is the full list of nations who will take part in the draw:

Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Algeria, DR Congo, Senegal, Egypt, Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire, Gabon, Uganda, South Africa, Tunisia, Nigeria, Mali, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Comoros, Sudan, Benin, Tanzania, Botswana, and Mozambique.
