The 27-year-old, who stated that he is ready for a new challenge, dreams of plying his trade in Spain's top flight, according to Give Me Sport. However, several obstacles stand in the way of his aspirations.
While Rashford's preference for a move to LALIGA has been linked to the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, the financial realities of such a transfer could complicate matters.
Real are currently believed to be prioritising other targets, while Barcelona's ongoing financial struggles are understood to make a big-money move highly unlikely.
Atletico, though a potential suitor, could reportedly also find themselves priced out of a deal due to the hefty fee United have placed on their star forward.
It has been suggested that the Red Devils' sporting directors have slapped a price tag at €45 million (R855 million) on the attacker.
It has also been claimed that the club were considering selling the player at the end of the current season, even before the Manchester derby in which Ruben Amorim excluded the star from his matchday squad – a decision that fuelled speculation regarding the attacker's future at Old Trafford.
