Wydad Athletic Club have parted ways with one of their stars, with reports suggesting more departures could follow at the instruction of manager Rulani Mokwena.
Senegalese striker M'baye Niang is set to become a free agent during the January transfer window. This development comes after the player confirmed the end of his stint with the Moroccan club.

According to the news site Saleh13, the club reached a mutual agreement to terminate Niang's contract for $180 000 (approximately R3.3 million).
Further reports indicate that additional players may also exit the club at Mokwena's request.
Brazilian attacker Renan Viana, currently on loan from Club Athletico Paranaense, is believed to be among those expected to depart the Red Castle after sustaining a cruciate ligament tear in October. He is anticipated to be side-lined until June this year.
The South African tactician is said to have been granted full authority to recruit players of his choice during the January transfer window.
Niang, who joined the Botola Pro 1 side in September, confirmed his departure via social media and expressed gratitude to everyone at the club.
"Merci, Wydad. Thank you supporters, thanks to the club, thanks to the leaders, and thanks to my teammates," he wrote in an Instagram post.
"The history of the club, the project, but above all the fervour the supporters have, since the beginning, motivated me to join you, and I thank the leaders for their trust.
"You fans are the heart and soul of Wydad and your encouragement has been a real source of strength and motivation for me every game. I gave my all to contribute to the success of the club, and I leave with pride to have been one of your players.
"This club marked me, and I will always be one of your first supporters.
"To my teammates, keep fighting and giving it your all on the field to make Wydad shine!"
