Chelsea missed the chance to consolidate second position in the Premier League after a 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Thursday afternoon.
The Blues did not tamper with the side from the goalless draw against Everton, as Marc Cucurella returned from suspension, with the attack of Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho and Nicolas Jackson continuing.
Enzo Maresca's charges were on the front foot from the off and Palmer sent them ahead on 16 minutes with a cool finish inside the box after he evaded and dribbled past a couple of challenges.
Chelsea remained in control but only came close to doubling their lead ten minutes before the half-time interval after Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno pulled off a point-blank save to deny Cucurella's header at the back post from a delivery by Enzo Fernandez.
The Cottagers did not have much to offer going forward as they only absorbed the pressure and needed to improve in the last third from the half-time break to get anything out of the game.
Marco Silva's men were fired up from the interval and started to ask questions in the early exchanges, as Alex Iwobi came close with a curling shot that missed the top corner by inches.
Chelsea were limited since coming from the break and had more defending to do even after the hour-mark.
Maresca only looked to affect the game from the bench on 73 minutes after he withdrew Jackson and brought on Christopher Nkunku for fresh legs up top.
However, Fulham continued to have momentum and with eight minutes remaining Harry Wilson eventually levelled matters with a close-range header from a cross by Timothy Castagne.
It was end to end attacks in the closing stages and Rodrigo Muniz snatched the winner for the visitors with a close-range finish in added time after a square pass in the box.
