Cape Town City interim coach Muhsin Ertugral has revealed why they knew they would hurt Kaizer Chiefs after their 1-0 win in the Betway Premiership.
Ertugral had a winning start in charge after he replaced former City coach Eric Tinkler during the week thanks to a second-half goal by Darwin Gonzalez.
The Turkish coach says they knew Amakhosi attacking patterns and were always waiting to hit them on counter-attacks.

"The boys were unbelievable today, disciplined, organized because I knew against Kaizer Chiefs you have these counter-attacks," Ertugral said on SuperSport.
"In the last third, last decision, combination, we could have went to halftime with the lead. Chiefs attacking pattern and formation we knew it, it's a quality team but you can counter.
"We could've got a second and third one on a counter. I'm really proud of the boys today," the veteran coach said.
"What I saw in the beginning is that the team played in patches, so wanted to play as a collective. I think we had synergy, that's one of the reasons why we could score through the counter. We have young players and if we're patient we can be very successful."
The Citizens will have no time to rest as they host Orlando Pirates on Wednesday.
"Orlando Pirates at the moment one of the best teams not only in South Africa but in the continent," Ertugral said about their next encounter against the Buccaneers.
"We need to get over this performance as quickly as possible and we'll see, because both teams can play a very tactical approach," the former Chiefs coach added.
