It has now been revealed that Al Ahly are not in any talks with South African sensation Relebohile Mofokeng, as the Orlando Pirates star was only recommended to the Egyptian giants.
Mofokeng is one of the most highly-rated talents that South Africa has to offer right now, as the 20-year-old continues to deliver impressive performances for his club.

As such, the skilful attacker was recently linked with a sensational move to FC Barcelona's reserve side, while there have also been reports that the youngster is attracting attention from some African teams.
CAF juggernauts Al Ahly are said to have been made aware of Mofokeng's talents, but the club have not engaged in any discussions about a potential transfer to Cairo.
Egyptian broadcaster journalist Khaled Al-Ghandour recently stated on his television programme Stad Al-Mehwar that he reached out to Al Ahly to find out about the prospect of signing Mofokeng.
Speaking on his show, Al-Ghandour said: "We contacted officials at Al Ahly and asked them about the truth regarding negotiations with the two players, Iheanacho, the Sevilla striker, and Relebohile Mofokeng, the Orlando Pirates' South African striker.
"The source confirmed that there was indeed communication with Iheanacho's agent to gauge his stance on joining Al Ahly, but there was no official offer, and the player's financial demands are very high.
"As for Relebohile Mofokeng, there are no negotiations with the player, no communication has taken place, and he was only recommended by agents."
Mofokeng has started every 2024/25 Betway Premiership match for the Pirates, and this season, the player has already contributed six goals and nine assists in 22 games across all competitions so far, as per Transfermarkt.
