With former Bafana Bafana boss Carlos Queiroz reportedly reaching an agreement with an African nation, it is now claimed that the Portuguese tactician and his coaching staff will earn €1.5 million (R29 million) per year.
Queiroz has been without a job since December 2023 when he vacated his post as Qatar national team head coach, according to Transfermarkt.

It now appears that the 71-year-old is nearing a return to the dugout for yet another stint in Africa.
In the past, Queiroz managed Bafana Bafana between 2001 and 2002, while he also served as Egypt's manager between 2021 and 2022.
According to Plus48.net, Queiroz has already reached an agreement to become the new boss of the Tunisia national team.
The report claims that the former Portugal coach has agreed to a four-year deal with the Lions of Carthage, including a salary of €1.5 million (R29 million) per season.
The package is also set to cover his technical team, which is said to include an assistant coach and a performance analyst.
It is further reported that the appointment could be finalised this week, pending final approval by the settlement committee of the Tunisian Football Federation.
Moreover, it is indicated that Mauritanian coach Amir Abdou also offered his services to Tunisia. However, after consultation with the relevant decision-makers, it was decided that Queiroz is the best candidate for the role.
