Salah has been pivotal in the Reds' recent successes, helping the club secure eight major trophies. Despite his importance, his future remains uncertain as his current contract is set to expire at the end of the current season.
With no new deal having been signed, there is much speculation about where he will be playing his football next season.
Amid the uncertainty, reports suggest that Saudi Pro League officials are keen to capitalise on the situation, with Al Hilal emerging as one of the clubs vying to secure Salah's signature.
Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, recently added fuel to the fire by posting an image of Salah wearing an Al Hilal shirt on social media, hinting at the club's intentions.
According to The Sun via the Daily Mail, Alalshikh, a prominent figure in Saudi Arabia's expansion into global sports, is spearheading Al-Hilal's pursuit of the Egyptian talisman.
The reported £65 million (R1.2 billion) package would see Salah become one of the highest-paid players in the world.
With his Liverpool contract set to expire, Salah could leave on a free transfer, allowing Saudi officials to redirect funds into a lucrative wage package to entice him to the Middle East.
