Despite the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach having confirmed that he will be leaving the team, some club members and fans wish for him to be dismissed immediately, even though only three games remain in the season.

Following the results in Safi, Mokwena did speak to the media, yet some reports suggest that he only participated for a few minutes, which is now said to have placed both him and the team in jeopardy.
