The Qatar SC boss has now hinted at handing Percy Tau his debut in Friday evening's UAE Super Cup against Al Nasr.
Tau was officially announced by his new club earlier this week, becoming the first South African footballer to play in Qatar.
It now appears that the Bafana Bafana star won't have to wait too long to make his first appearance for his new side, as his manager, Youssef Safri, has hinted at giving Tau his debut.

According to the official website of the Qatar Stars League, Safri said: "We are ready for the match, and we aspire to win and claim the title. The match will certainly be difficult, especially since Al Nasr are one of the biggest clubs in the UAE.
"There is no doubt that the match will be difficult given that they have good players, especially in the midfield, but we have studied them well and we look forward to winning the game and the cup.
"We have the determination and resolve to win and be crowned champions, and we hope to be successful in this 'final' match.
"I thank the club management for its support for the team by bringing in South African player Percy Tau, who is a strong addition to the team.
"I believe that he will not need a long time to adapt, given his presence alongside other distinguished players with high experience in the team, which will help him integrate quickly. Also, the first match he will play is a final, and this should be a great incentive for him.
"All players must give their best in this match in order to win the Qatar-UAE Super Cup and make the fans happy."
One of Tau's new teammates is 2010 FIFA World Cup winner with Spain, Javi Martinez, who is one of the more senior members of the squad at the age of 36.
Speaking ahead of the game, the two-time UEFA Champions League winner with Bayern Munich said:
"We are fully prepared for this final match, and we hope to win the title.
"The final does not need additional motivation for the players, but rather it is an incentive in itself and a great motivation for every player to do his best to win and lift the cup."
