Following Al Ahly's defeat to Orlando Pirates, the departure of Percy Tau from the Egyptian club has now been called into question.
Al Ahly succumbed to a 2-1 home defeat to Pirates on Saturday, finishing the CAF Champions League group stage in second place behind the Soweto giants.
The result has since drawn significant criticism towards manager Marcel Koller, as it was his side's second loss of the group stage campaign following an earlier defeat to CR Belouizdad.

In recent weeks, the Red Devils have parted ways with two players: Tau and Algerian defender Ahmed Kendouci. It is also rumoured that the club is set to part ways with Kahraba, who is linked with a move to Libyan club Al-Ittihad.
Former Al Ahly star Yasser Radwan has now questioned the club's decision to let Tau leave, among other notable exits.
Speaking on the On Sport FM radio show, Radwan said: "Al Ahly's performance does not reach the level we are accustomed to. There is significant inconsistency. How can we talk about the impact of absences when the team is supposed to have the best players in Egypt?
"Al Ahly has very good players. It all depends on the coach and how he manages these players tactically. Changing the playing style frequently confuses the players.
"Al Ahly needs a striker alongside Wessam Abou Ali, as well as wingers, a left-back, and a centre-back. There is an abundance of midfielders, but after Akram Tawfik's departure, the team might need a midfielder.
"I thought Percy Tau needed a chance to continue because he makes an impact whenever he plays. However, regarding Kahraba, I think now is the right time for him to leave Al Ahly."
Tau's departure to Qatar SC has now opened up a space for Al Ahly to sign a foreign player. According to AlAhlyNews.com, the reigning African champions are moving closer to finding Tau's replacement, as they have agreed a deal to sign Brazilian forward Everton da Silva from Czech side Banik Ostrava.
The report claims that Da Silva will travel to Egypt this week to sign a three-year deal with an option to extend for another year.
