The transfer rumours linking Relebohile Mofokeng with a move to Barcelona have been explained by a Spanish-based agent familiar with operations in Europe.
Mofokeng has been mentioned next to Barcelona since last year after it emerged that his name had been tabled as a prospective signing.

For all the talk, the 20-year-old has kept his head plugged on to delivering top performances at Orlando Pirates, where he has eight goals (plus nine assists) in 25 appearances playing on the wing this season.
"The truth about the big teams like Barcelona is that it is not easy to join them straight from Africa," Jorge Barros, CEO of MSC Sports Management based in Spain, tells KickOff.com.
"How many times has it happened that a player moves from a club in Africa to Barcelona?
"It is important to understand such because there is obviously a difference in the levels of playing for a club in Africa and Barcelona.
"Barcelona is the highest level for any player, which is why they are in competition with Real Madrid.
"My understanding is that this player would come via another club here in Europe, but then I suppose whoever is behind all of this knows better.
"I don't know what has been discussed, but I think going via Barcelona B or another club would make sense than thinking of jumping straight to the main team at Barcelona.
"But then this is football, and opportunities are always there to be grabbed with both hands by those who need them.
"When a player is good, he deserves to be given the opportunity, and I hope the boy gets a chance to test himself at the highest level of football here in Europe soon.

"His age is attractive for any club in Europe and all that needs to happen is for him to move as soon as possible.
"Barcelona would be a massive jump for his career if it does happen that way," says Barros.
