After the postponement of Royal AM's home clash against Orlando Pirates, which was scheduled for Thursday, there are questions marks on the ramifications, following a similar debacle with Moroka Swallows last season.
Thwihli Thwahla's financial struggles are well-documented, as the club's players were on strike for non-payment of December salaries, in a similar saga to that of Swallows, who had players on strike in December 2023 for not receiving salaries.

The latter could not honour fixtures against Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows, which were initially postponed.
The PSL eventually charged The Birds for misconduct and for bringing the League into disrepute, a sanction that came with a R1 million fine and docking of points, with three points each going to Sundowns and Arrows.
However, in the Royal AM instance, the postponement has been made at the discretion of the League, who required a "joint letter of comfort" from the curator and management that their issues have been resolved, after the PSL granted them permission to have their game against Chippa United on 11 January postponed,
Twenty-four hours before kick-off, the letter had not been received.
The KwaZulu-Natal side, unlike Swallows, appeared to be ready to host Pirates on Thursday, according to general manager Richard Makhoba.
"We are ready to go play against Orlando Pirates and it's a motivation on its own because we're meeting a club that is on top form," Makhoba said on Metro FM Sports on Monday.
"We're ready to host Orlando Pirates and supporters must come in numbers, the players are motivated," he replied when asked if the game would go ahead.

According to the NSL's Handbook, failure to provide a home venue by the home club could result either in a postponement or a charge for misconduct.
Thwihli Thwahla were seemingly ready to host Pirates, but on a technicality, could not satisfy the League that the game would go ahead, especially under curatorship.
As such, they have been summoned, together with their curator, to make representations to the PSL's Executive Committee on Friday.
