Amid Egypt being drawn in a group with Bafana Bafana for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, head coach Hossam Hassan revealed the ultimate goal for his side at the tournament.
With seven titles to their name, the Pharaohs hold the record for having the most AFCON titles, with seven to their name.

However, the Pharaohs' last continental title was 15 years ago when they won the competition in Angola.
Their attention will now turn to the next edition of the tournament, where they will look to progress from the group stage.
To do so, they will have to make it past Group B, which will be made up of South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.
Hassan, who spoke before the draw, said that his side are ready for the continental competition.
"The competition will be difficult, of course, due to the presence of big teams in the tournament, headed by Morocco, Algeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal and other teams with a long history in the Africa Cup of Nations, but we are ready, God willing, and we will do our best to achieve the title and make the Egyptians happy" he said per CAFonline.
"Of course, as Egypt we won the most African Nations titles, we always play to achieve championships, and this will be our goal," he added.
"We have major senior players, headed by Mohamed Salah, Omar Marmoush and Trezegue, and the best clubs in Africa, Al-Ahly and Zamalek, and young players, who have shone with us in the recent years."

Egypt qualified for the competition with relative comfort, finishing top of Group C with 4 victories and 2 draws ahead of Botswana, Mauritania, and Cape Verde.
