Mamelodi Sundowns moved nine points clear of Orlando Pirates after a 4-1 thrashing at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday afternoon.
No less than three changes for the Buccaneers showed in Thapelo Xoki, Kabelo Dlamini and Evidence Makgopa, with Masandawana giving Uruguayan Lucas Suarez his first.
The table-toppers got in front in the 12th minute when Grant Kekana popped up at the back-post and side-footed a pin-point free-kick in off the underside of the bar.
Masandawana posed more threats from set-plays as Suarez charged in the box to attack a corner-kick and put goalkeeper Sipho Chaine in a spot of bother.
Forceful Lucas Ribeiro made it two before the half-hour mark after a tremendous solo run from his own half to find the bottom-corner and bagged his eight league goal of the season.
Hard-running Deon Hotto had a golden chance to reduce the home side's lead on the brink of halftime from a low cross in the box, but the Namibian riffled way over.
Hotto redeemed himself ten minutes in the second half after he came short to the area from the left of the box and saw his shot deflect past Ronwen Williams.
Sundowns restored the two-goal advantage when Ribeiro ran in to the edge of the box and tucked a low cutback into the bottom-corner.
The reigning champions were having it all their way and made it four towards the remaining ten minutes when Teboho Mokoena riffled a long-range effort in the near corner.
Pirates still fancied a route back, but proved indecisive as Masandawana marched to victory to go nine-points clear at the top of the table.
