The Footballers Union of South Africa is taking on Motsepe Foundation Championship club Kruger United over matters relating to unpaid salaries of players.
According to FUSA secretary Taelo Motloung, players in the form of Kgomotso Mokoena, Siyabonga Nzuza, Melusi Nkosi, Junior Sibiya, and Mzwakali Jerry Siyabonga are still waiting for the November and December salaries.

"We at FUSA are deeply concerned and disappointed by Kruger United FC's failure to pay their players' January salaries or provide any communication regarding the delay," Motloung informs this publication.
"Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident, as it has become a norm for some clubs in South Africa to neglect their financial obligations to players.
"We are closely monitoring the situation and will engage with the club, as we have done previously, to resolve this matter. Currently, there are five players still awaiting payment for their November and December salaries. We are actively negotiating settlements with the club for three of these players.
"We will continue to advocate for the rights and welfare of our players, ensuring that clubs fulfill their financial obligations," he continued.
Club chairman Bongani Wadi said this is just an issue of miscommunication between the Union and Kruger United as they never denied owing the players concerned.

"Three of those players were loaned out, and two of them - Mzwakali and Nzuza - the interested team pulled out, and they were left without a team. And because they were already registered for two teams, it couldn't be done three times," explains Wadi.
"And because of that, we decided to terminate with them and offered settlement. That settlement, as far as I know, is sitting with the Union, FUSA - it has not been finalized.
"We've been talking to Taelo Motloung, and as far as I know, we are waiting for him to come here so that everything will be finalized."
