Orlando Pirates striker Evidence Makgopa admits that after a 4-1 thrashing from Mamelodi Sundowns, they had a point to prove against Baroka FC in the Nedbank Cup.
Pirates made easy work of Baroka FC with 3-1 hammering at Orlando Stadium in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.
A hat-trick from Tshegofatso Mabasa was enough to secure the side's spot in the last eight, while Sydney Malivha pulled a late consolation goal for the visitors.

The men in Black and Red had gone into the encounter under scrutiny having received thrashing from defending league champions Sundowns just seven days prior.
Speaking to the club's media after the match, Makgopa said he was relieved his side could make a statement.
"When I look at our performance today, it was a very good performance, especially with what happened to us last week," said the marksman.
"So, we managed to show people who we are. Obviously, as the defending champions, we would be pleased to be Nedbank Cup champions for the third time.
"I think that is what helps us and keeps us motivated in the dressing room. We managed to do it in the MTN8, so I think we can also do it in the Nedbank Cup," added Makgopa.
