This season, he can defend that Romanian Liga 1 title and took a step towards that with his club sealing their place in the title-deciding championship round.
The Bafana Bafana defender played 90 minutes in snowing conditions on Sunday evening in a 2-0 win over AS FC Buzau.
With those three points, FCSB moved up to 49 points, confirming their place in the top six with three games left to play.
After the 30-game regular season, the top six teams will have their points halved, rounded upwards, with no other records carried over before they then play each other twice.
The team finishing top is then declared champions with second and third place getting European competitions tickets.
