Zimbabwe manager Michael Nees has stated that his side's group, which includes Egypt and South Africa, is the most challenging of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Zimbabwe find themselves in a tricky Group B, alongside record AFCON champions Egypt, 1996 winners South Africa, and a resilient Angola side.

Speaking on Al Ahly's Trend programme, Nees acknowledged the challenge ahead.
"Our group in the African Cup of Nations finals is the most difficult in the group stage of the tournament, especially since it includes the Egyptian national team, the largest and strongest team in the African continent, as well as the South African team, which is advanced," the German tactician said.
"And the Angolan team, which is a tricky team at its level. It seems like a strong team that includes players with individual skills."
The coach also highlighted Egypt as one of the favourites to lift the trophy, largely due to the presence of world-class stars such as Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush.
"The Egyptian national team is one of the most prominent candidates to win the continental tournament this year, given the presence of great players like Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush.
"I am convinced that three teams, not two, will qualify from our group."
Despite the daunting challenge, Nees remains optimistic about Zimbabwe's chances, pointing out that his squad boasts players competing in Europe as well as in the Betway Premiership.
"We have good players in the Zimbabwean team, and we will not underestimate the other teams in our group.
"Our team includes professional players in Europe and also in the South African league, especially Mamelodi Sundowns.
"Egypt and South Africa have great power at the club level in continental competitions."
