A PSL club has confirmed the signing of experienced attacking midfielder Thulani Serero, who marks his return to South Africa after more than a decade plying his trade abroad.
Serero has been training with Cape Town City over the last couple of weeks after ending his time at UAE outfit Al Jazira Club.

After head coach Muhsin Ertugral let slip during a recent press conference that the man nicknamed 'Cream' has been brought in, official confirmation has now come from the club.

At 34, Serero is now at the twilight of his career but still has a wealth of experience to contribute to an ambitious Cape Town City outfit and has the credentials to match.
He was voted the 2010/11 PSL Footballer of the Season and Players' Player of the Season after a standout campaign for Ajax Cape Town (now Cape Town Spurs).
Thereafter, he went abroad, where collected further silverware, winning the UAE league title in 2021 Al Jazira.
Meanwhile, City will need the veteran at his best to help halt what has been a downward spiral.

They find themselves languishing in 10th position on the Betway Premiership log table with four defeats from their last five matches and just six wins to show from 19 outings.
Serero could get a chance to make his debut against AmaZulu FC at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday (15:30).
