Baroka FC, whose journey back to the elite division is well on course with 16 game played so far, have released experienced striker Siphelele Mthembu from his contract.
Mthembu, who has been on the books of both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, was brought to Baroka by their then-coach Morgan Mammila at the beginning of the season after having scored 11 goals at University of Pretoria last term.

"Shaka Zulu is a talented player, but the way the team is currently playing doesn't suit him," said Baroka chairman Khurishi Mphahlele, opening up to KickOff.com in an exclusive interview.
"He does not fit into our system, which is why he has played about 12 games without contributing a single assist or scoring a goal. Unfortunately, it just didn't work out."
The Emthonjaneni-born star will turn 38 in March.
In addition, Mphahlele confirmed the return of Mthokozisi 'Dancing Confidence' Ngcobo to the second-tier club, as well as the acquisition of former Highbury goalkeeper Malcolm Jacobs.
"Dancing Confidence has now received his South African ID, so I'm sure we won't encounter any further problems.
"However, nothing has been signed yet. He needs to complete his medical examination first, and then we will finalise a new contract."
Regarding Jacobs' signing, Mphahlele analyzed the situation, saying, "If you look at our league standings, we are the second-best scoring team, but strangely, we have the worst defence. Even Venda FC, who are at the bottom of the table, have conceded fewer goals than we have.

"While our forwards are scoring, we have been leaking goals at the back, and many of the goals we have conceded are due to schoolboys errors."
Baroka have also brought in 20-year-old winger Kgahliso Maphanga from a lower division club in Limpopo.
