Following their 5-1 thrashing by Venda FC in the Motsepe Foundation Championship over the weekend, Joel Masutha's future at Baroka FC has been decided.

The Limpopo-based side have played 17 matches and collected 24 points, and appear to be among favourites to land a play-offs spot at the end of the season.
Only five points separates them and third-placed Milford FC.

Baroka's biggest enemy in the past two seasons has been their leaky defence.
According to a source very close to the club, Masutha's exit raises eyebrows despite the heavy defeat.

"On Thursday morning, everything has been revealed. The two parties will be holding a meeting with the players on Thursday morning. It's not clear yet who has decided to leave who in this relationship," the source tells KickOff.com.
Both the club and Masutha could not be reached on their phones, but Baroka have since issued a statement confirming the former goalkeeper has resigned.
