Bernard Parker has revealed the rewards of Kaizer Chiefs winning the upcoming Soweto Derby against 'favourites' Orlando Pirates.
Chiefs enter the highly anticipated fixture as arguably the underdogs, with their league form yet to peak this season.

They have not won back-to-back league games since defeating Marumo Gallants Gallants and AmaZulu FC in their first two games of 2024/25.
Nasreddine Nabi's troops are up against a Pirates side challenging for the Betway Premiership title with Mamelodi Sundowns and have also made it through to the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.
However, Parker, who spent over a decade at Naturena, says experience has taught him that the derby is always won by the team that is looking to redeem themselves.
"It will be tricky because with my personal experience throughout the years, over the 30 derbies I've played, usually the team that doesn't have a good run in the league always wins the derby," Parker said at the #No Excuse campaign under the banner of Carling.
"And a team that has a good run in the league ends up not winning the derby. It becomes very tricky.
"On the day, it's for Orlando Pirates to see if they can continue with the form that they have and, on the other hand, it's for Kaizer Chiefs to make great use of the game of this magnitude.

"Because once you win the derby, it will automatically set the tone for the rest of the season, in terms of boosting the morale, the confidence, and so it's very important for both teams to get a win or a positive result," added 'Die Hond', currently the Diski Challenge head coach at TS Galaxy.
The titanic tie is set for Saturday afternoon at FNB Stadium.
