Miguel discloses fiery meeting with Nabi

Inacio Miguel has spoken with a commanding voice in emptying the minutes of his meeting with his coach at Kaizer Chiefs, Nasreddine Nabi.

Miguel started out his stay at Chiefs with a worrisome rate of yellow cards, which had him suspended for yellow cards and then a sending off after only six games.

Since then, the Angolan-Portuguese hardman has only had three yellow in 16 appearances, providing evidence of how much he has cleaned his game.

He was asked about matters relating to overstepping on the accelerator with his passion.

"I had a meeting with coach Nabi, and he told me to understand the timing and the way to do things," reveals Nabi.

"But I told him: 'Listen, for me, there is no problem to take a yellow or red card if it is for the team'.

"I will keep doing it until the end of the season.

"But as a team, we are now doing better than before, so that means I'm not so exposed.

"And of course, if I have to make a foul in the 15th minute, it doesn't matter the time, but to help the team not concede a goal, I will do it and take the yellow card.

"I told him [Nabi]: 'Listen, if you don't want me to do that, don't put me in the team to play because I will do it if I need to do it'.

"I don't mind if the supporters say Miguel is taking too many cards, it doesn't matter.

"If the team is winning and I have to take a yellow card in every game, I will do it.

"It is not a problem for me.

"Of course, I have to be more cautious and understand the timing of the things that I have to do.

"It is a process and I'm also learning," said Miguel, speaking before the club's training session on Monday ahead of the league match against Cape Town City on Wednesday (19:30) at FNB Stadium.
