DR Congo want Le Roy back again

The Black Stars’ mentor also disclosed that enquires about his services were already being made by President Joseph Kabila of DR Congo.

Le Roy declined to elaborate.

“What is important today is the quarter-final we have on Sunday.

“I have a contract with Ghana and I want to see it through. I’ve never resigned from a job and I don’t intend to do so now.”

The Frenchman said he was fully committed to the cause of the Black Stars at the moment and would not want to prejudge his future ahead of the expiry of his contract.

“I know that President Kabila would want me back in Kinshasa, but I am fully committed to this contract now. I don’t want to leave before my contract expires on February 6, next year,” he emphasised.

A relaxed-looking Le Roy paid glowing tribute to his team for their spirit and commitment that secured them the 2-0 victory over Morocco and ensured their 100 percent run in group play.

“These are professionals and I am very happy about their performance,” he said.
