Newly-promoted DStv Premiership club Magesi FC star Edmore Chirambadare has thanked his former side, in the form of Venda Football Academy, for firing him.
When the Zimbabwean joined Magesi in January, they were sitting in sixth spot in the Motsepe Foundation Championship standings.

The 32-year-old says he is still waiting for the second-tier league champions to offer him a new deal.
Chirambadare and his previous club, Venda Football Academy, who have since morphed to Venda Football Club, had a fallout in January and Magesi came to his rescue by offering him a short-term contract.
"I can't say this was the greatest season for me in South Africa when I got released by VFA," Chirambadare tells KickOff.
"But it's football. That first part of the season isn't good, but the end of it went perfectly, I don't want to lie.
"In English, we can call what VFA did to me a 'blessing in disguise'. They made me a star. They made me a champion.
"I was happy with the way things turned out at the end. They always say it's not the way you start, but it's the way you finish.
"I'm grateful for what God did for me, for all the things that were happening to me in Venda. God is always good.
"I'm looking forward to next season, it's Magesi who will decide if they still want me or they are gonna let me go.

"My contract is finishing end of June... it was for six months."
