EXCLUSIVE: Jali confirms his next move

Andile Jali has confirmed to KickOff that he will be remaining in the PSL next season and has signed a contract with one of the teams in the country's topflight.

Jali has been without a team since he parted ways with Moroka Swallows in January this year.

The former Bafana Bafana midfielder has been linked with a move to Sekhukhune United, Chippa United and AmaZulu FC ahead of next season.

In fact, Babina Noko tried to sign 'AJ' last season, before he made the move to the Dube Birds, where a players' striker over financial issues was the beginning of the end for him.

Jali dismissed reports that was retiring from football and said he is still very much committed to the Beautiful Game.

"Everything has been sorted out. I have signed and [am] looking forward to next season, said the Matatiele-born star, in an exclusive, albeit brief, interview with this publication.

"I can't reveal the name of the team. My agent and the team are in a good position to do that," he added.

The 34-year-old is represented by ProSport International, the CEO of which is renowned intermediary Mike Makaab, who was coy when giving an update on the player's future recently.

"I can only say that we are very close to finalizing a new home for him; I will not disclose [which club] now, but I can assure you that it will happen within the next seven to 10 days. Talks are at an advanced stage between ourselves, AJ and the football club," he said, speaking on Gagasi FM's ExtraTime.

'AJ' has also been linked with Magesi FC for the past few weeks, but this website has it on good authority that he has no plans of relocating to Polokwane next season.
