After the Betway Premiership match between SuperSport United and Golden Arrows was abandoned due to load-shedding, KickOff has the lowdown on how the matter will be handled.
The match between SuperSport and Arrows was called-off at half-time at Lucas Moripe Stadium with the score tied at 1-1 due to load-shedding in Atteridgeville on Sunday.
Matsatsantsa had gone ahead in the fourth minute courtesy of Christian Saile, before Velemseni Ndwandwe equalized for Abafana Bes'thende on 24 minutes.

After load-shedding hit the area around the stadium, the fixture was interrupted just before half-time, without floodlights, and the referee allowed for it to go to half-time using the natural moon and stars.
There was supposed to be a generator to restart the floodlights for the second half, but with no back-up power at the stadium, the tie was abandoned.
According to the NSL Handbook, the match will be resumed from the second half at a different date and was supposed to have been re-arranged within 48 hours from Sunday.
"Should a match be abandoned by the referee due to insufficient illumination from the floodlights, then the remaining minutes of the match will be resumed on a date and at a time and venue agreed upon between member clubs immediately upon abandonment," article 14.16, under floodlights, reads.
"The resumed match will be a continuation of the abandoned match and it will be as if the match had not been abandoned..." another drop-down article clarifies.
"The agreed date, time and venue must be within 48 (forty-eight) hours of the time of the abandoned match subject to the approval of the League."
Indications are that the two member clubs were not able to agree on a new suitable date, venue and time within 48 hours of the abandoned game and according to rules, the rescheduled fixture date, venue and time will be under the discretion of the League.

SuperSport will be liable for costs of affected parties and according to the rules should be charged for misconduct for not providing a generator at the stadium.
"Failure to provide adequate lighting in terms of this Rule will result in:
"The home member club being liable for all costs of all affected parties occasioned by the non-compliance.
"The member club being charged with misconduct," article 14.19 states.
