According to sources close to Wydad, the 37-year-old has already identified the technical team that he wants to work with in Morocco, knowing the mammoth task that awaits him in awakening a floundering giant of African football.
"Rulani Mokwena has recommended his own technical team. He is also going to submit the list of players that he wants to sign at Wydad Casablanca.
"Zungu is also expected to move to Morocco after his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns expired," said a source.
Though he did not have the best of time upon his return to the Tshwane giants, Zungu ticks the 'experience' box having also been on the books of SC Amiens in France as well as Glasgow Rangers in Scotland, where he worked under Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Mokwena, who has signed a three-year contract with the club, has joined the list of South African coaches attached to foreign teams, which including Fadlu Davids and Morena Ramoreboli, who are in charge of Simba SC (Tanzania) and Jwaneng Galaxy (Botswana) respectively.
