Orbit College 2-2 Casric Stars

Orbit College snatched a last-gasp 2-2 draw against Casric Stars in the Motsepe Foundation Championship on Sunday.

The intentions were clear from the onset by both sides who went to the break level pegging with Malesela Chokoe on strike for the visiting team.

Casric looked to have grabbed victory in the closing minutes only for the host to pull up a response and wrestled out a share of the spoils.

Upington City 0-1 Leruma United

Leruma United strengthened their fight against relegation with a morale-boosting 1-0 victory over Upington City out in the Northern Cape province.

Bafana Ba Gucci endured the worst possible start and entered the halftime period trailing the visitors who are battling at the other end of the table.

The relegation-threatened visitors closed shop throughout the course of the second stanza and claimed a creditable victory.

Baroka FC 2-1 Durban City

Durban City's cushion at the summit of the Motsepe Foundation Championship were reduced after a 2-1 loss to Baroka FC on Saturday.

It was a torrid outing from the word go for the leaders, who were behind in the opening exchanges courtesy of Kabelo Kgositsile.

The Team of Choice were on level terms a while later through none other than danger man Samkelo Maseko, but the host bagged victory courtesy of David Mothipi.

Kruger United 1-0 Hungry Lions

Hungry Lions two-match winning run of form were ended following a 1-0 loss to Kruger United in a mid-table clash.

With the loss, Di Tau missed the chance to make further in-roads to the top-half and instead dropped to eight, whilst Kruger jumped three places up to go seventh on the log.

Maloisane Ramasimong got the winner and gave the host the all-important points, with Lions utterly shattered.

Pretoria Callies 2-0 Black Leopards

Black Leopards dropped out of the top eight and continued their inconsistent campaign through a 2-0 loss to Pretoria Callies.

Lidoda Duvha revived their campaign in the last match with a dominant 3-0 victory over Cape Town Spurs, while Romans were on a three-match losing streak in all competitions.

Goals by Lindokuhle Nyandeni and Sibongakonke Mgwaba were enough to give the Romans victory in the end.

JDR Stars 0-0 Cape Town Spurs

JDR Stars once again failed to find the back of the net following a goalless draw with struggling Cape Town Spurs in Soshanguve.

The Hammerboys remain in the top-three though despite being goal-shy, as the Urban Warriors claimed a valuable point in their fight against relegation.

Drama unfolded in the dying minutes when the host squandered a penalty-kick and saw a golden chance to victory hugely missed.

Venda Football Academy 0-0 University of Pretoria

Struggling Venda Football Academy and University of Pretoria shared the spoils in a tense and gruelling goalless draw in Thohoyandou.

The point leaves the host in the bottom-half, while AmaTuks dropped from ninth to 11th spot on the standings.

Highbury FC 5-1 Milford FC

Highbury FC moved back into the top-half in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after thumping Milford Stallions 5-1 on Friday afternoon.

No time to settle showed on the end of the host who raced to a two-goal cushion at halftime courtesy of Koketso Segodiso and a penalty from Matome Mabeba.

Thokozani Ngubane compounded matters for the matters with a brace in the second half and saw Tsepo Cetywayo lean in to make it five.

Milford snatched a consolation in the final minutes through a clever finish from the penalty spot by Mthetheleli Mthiyane as the loss dented their top-three hopes.
