Despite trailing Mamelodi Sundowns' Lucas Ribeiro by eight goals, Orlando Pirates striker Tshegofatso Mabasa is confident that he will finish the season top of the charts to claim the Golden Boot award yet again.
Mabasa netted 16 to finish last season as the league's top scorer.
However, achieving that feat may prove more challenging with Ribeiro having hit top form at Sundowns, in addition to the likes of Iqraam Rayners and TS Galaxy's Dzenan Zajmovic also adding their names to the mix.

Though the former Bloemfontein Celtic man has five goals to his name with 11 matches remaining, his confidence levels have seemingly hit an all-time high.
"First, I see myself finishing with 18 goals in the league. That's my target and I think I'll achieve it come end of the season," Mabasa told journalists at an Orlando Pirates media day.
Asked about the fact he hasn't scored that many, the marksman alluded to the number of chances that have come his way so far this season.
"It hasn't been that many and it's also based on how teams defend, particularly when I'm on the field, how centre backs behave.
"There's a lot of things that I've picked up during the course of the season and the course of games, many different games. So, yeah, it's based on stats."

Mabasa has his work cut out with Ribeiro on 13 goals, Rayners having hit the back of the net nine times and Zajmovic having struck eight times in the Betway Premiership.
"One thing that I love the most, apart from winning matches, is hitting the back of the net and helping the team win games.
"So, it's really a great feeling for myself a striker, because I pride myself in that. Hopefully, I can keep doing that for this wonderful club."
