Ramovic's message to Adnan after Downs win

Former TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic has opened up on his successor Adnan Beganovic's unbeaten start, which continued with their win over Mamelodi Sundowns.

Galaxy did not opt for a high-profile coach after Ramovic tendered his resignation in early November 2024.

Instead, Chairman Tim Sukazi entrusted the head coach duties to Beganovic, previously Ramovic's assistant.

After taking over a side hovering in the relegation zone, Beganovic has not only wrestled them out of danger but Galaxy climbed up to fourth position with their narrow 1-0 victory against Sundowns on Tuesday.

The Rockets are yet to lose in the league under the Bosnian, who has taken up his first job as a head coach, in a run of 11 matches.

KickOff.com caught up with Ramovic to get his reaction.

"Regarding Adnan Beganovic, I'm really happy for him. He's done an excellent job at TS Galaxy, and the unbeaten start is a testament to his hard work and the quality of the squad," Ramovic said.

"He's taken the team forward and kept the momentum going, which isn't easy in this league.

"Am I surprised? Not really. Adnan has always been a sharp football mind, and I knew he had the potential to succeed as a head coach. He understands the game well and has a great connection with the players, so it's no shock to see him doing well," he added.

The Serb-German tactician, who has recently been appointed as new head coach at CR Belouizdad, also had a message to his former assistant.

"My message to him is simple: keep going. Keep pushing, keep improving, and enjoy the journey.

"Football is full of challenges, but he's already proving that he belongs at this level. I wish him all the best."
