The PSL's most experienced coach, Gavin Hunt, has been forthright in stating the facts about what defines the domestic game.
Hunt has been involved in every season of the PSL since the 1998/99 campaign when he made his debut with Seven Stars after winning promotion.

Through the years, he has won every competition on the local scene.
"I think in South African football, there are one or two teams that are consistent and with the rest it is this week, next week and you never know," said Hunt after an emphatic victory over his former employers Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday.
"I thought I have seen us play better this season and haven't gotten the result.
"To see the ball go in the net, which is something we haven't done well this season, was good to see.
"Like I have said, I have seen us play better.
"We are a brand-new team, in January we had two/three players come in, so we are trying to find each other.
"We have Samir (Nurkovic), Lebo (Maboe), Christian (Basomboli Saile), who were all not expected signings.
"We have lost our spine, we lost our guy who stops all the goals 'Tyson' (Thulani Hlatshwayo), the guy who creates all the goals Grant Margeman and the guy who scores the goals Bradley Grobler, so we have lost the whole spine.
"The result is important for us with where we are.
"It is three points.
"We never won anything but just three points.
"So, we gotta get ourselves out of the difficult situation that we are in.

"We haven't done well in the league, and we know that, but it is not for lack of effort because the attitude has been fine.
"We have to be careful and try to get as many points as we can and see how we do in the Nedbank Cup, where we have a big game there as well," says Hunt.
