MOTM Ronaldo reacts to brace against Messi's PSG

New Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to his first goals in Saudi Arabia, a brace over Lionel Messi's Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday evening.

Ronaldo made his unofficial debut in the Middle East on Thursday, captaining an all-star team made up of players from Saudi Pro League log leaders Al Nassr and Al Hilal in a friendly against French giants.

The 37-year-old had a dramatic first outing in the country as his side lost 5-4, but he was named Man of the Match after scoring two goals, one from the penalty spot and another from a close-range finish.

The veteran took to social media shortly after the game to express his delight at finding the back of the net for the first time since the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

"So happy to be back on the pitch, and on the score sheet!!" the striker wrote on Twitter.

"And nice to see some old friends!"

While Ronaldo did see a number of his former teammates and friends on the pitch, including ex-Real Madrid colleagues Sergio Ramos and Keylor Navas, the match was potentially the last time Messi and himself shared a pitch in their professional career.

The Argentine scored the first goal in the tie, in the 3rd minute, before Ronaldo responded with his brace.

The 12-time Ballon d'Or-winning duo embraced one another in the tunnel before doing the same during the match, when the Portuguese was seen walking over to the 2022 World Cup winner and putting his arm around him.
