Cristiano Ronaldo has been hailed after he "rejected" a decision made by the referee in Al Nassr's match on Monday night.
The Knights of Najd went head to head with Iranian team Persepolis FC in an AFC Champions League match that ended in a goalless draw, but it was not a game without incident.

Al Nassr managed to hold on for a point despite having defender Ali Lajami sent off in the 17th minute for a dangerous tackle on opposition No. 10 Milad Sarlak.
However, an even bigger talking point from the match was Ronaldo's reaction after he was awarded a spot-kick later in the game, for which he has come in for big praise since.
After seemingly winning a penalty following a challenge in Persepolis' box, the former Real Madrid star had the opportunity to open the scoring and potentially change the course of the match.
After the forward had gone down in the box, the referee immediately blew in his favour, awarding the spot-kick.
The Portugal international, to the surprise of many, was seen immediately getting up, shaking his head and wagging his finger at the referee to indicate that the penalty should not have been awarded.
He then walked up to the referee to repeat the action in closer proximity.
The Chinese match official, Ma Ning, then reviewed his decision and opted to overturn it.

Despite coming away with only a point from the encounter, the Saudi side retains a five-point lead at the top of Group E with one match left to play, and have thus already qualified for the next round of the AFC Champions League.
Ronaldo's game, though, had to come to an early halt after he walked off the field in the second half with a neck injury following a collision with opposition goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand.
According to Sportskeeda, Ronaldo was rushed to hospital, where it was determined that the extent of the injury was not as serious as initially feared.

The attacker is thus expected to be fit for Al Nassr's next clash, against first-placed Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League on Friday evening.
