South African coach Bradley Carnell is reportedly close to completing his third signing since taking over as head coach of Philadelphia Union.

Carnell was appointed at the beginning of 2025, and the South African penned a two-year contract with the club.

Since taking over, the club has already welcomed two new signings, including the loan arrival of Argentine centre-back Ian Glavinovich from Newell's Old Boys.

Union also signed Serbian striker Jovan Lukic from Spartak Subotica in a deal worth €600,000, according to Transfermarkt.

It is now reported that Carnell is close to welcoming a third arrival, with just under two weeks to go before the new MLS season starts.

According to Uruguayan journalist Sebas Giovanelli, Union are set to announce Bruno Damiani as their new signing from Nacional.

Damiani is a 22-year-old centre-forward who has already been capped by the Uruguay national team.

It is claimed that Newell's Old Boys are also keen to sign the player, but Union are reportedly in a more advanced position in their quest to sign the marksman.

According to Transfermarkt, Damiani made 37 appearances in all competitions on loan at Boston River, where he also registered 12 goals and five assists.
