Brazil legend Pele has passed away at the age of 82 after battling cancer.
Reports claim he had learned on 21 December that the colon cancer had advanced and he would remain in hospital for treatment over the Christmas period.
It was confirmed on Thursday, 29 December 2022 that the Brazilian footballing icon had passed on.

The Brazilian, who will go down as one of the greatest players of all time, is the only footballer to have won three FIFA World Cup titles.
Pele also enjoyed great success with Brazilian giants Santos before he also turned out for American outfit New York Cosmos.
