Following Percy Tau's switch to Qatar SC, a former Al Ahly player has revealed why he wishes that the South African star had stayed at the Red Devils.
The South African was unveiled as Qatar SC's new signing on Monday, confirming the end of his three-and-a-half-year stay at the Egyptian Giants.

During his time in Cairo, the 30-year-old won two Egyptian premier League titles and two CAF Champions Leagues among other trophies.
Had Tau remained at the club, he could have potentially represented them at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, where the Red Devils will battle FC Porto, SE Palmeiras and Inter Miami to make it out of Group A.
According to former star Mahmoud Aboul-Dahab, who was speaking on Egyptian television, the former Brighton Hove Albion star would have been able to make a difference at the tournament.
"I wished Percy Tau, Al Ahly's former winger, had stayed until the FIFA Club World Cup, as he is a distinctive player who makes a difference with the Red Castle since his contract with them," the former centre back said per El-Balad.
He added: "From my point of view, Percy Tau's departure from Al Ahly will have a significant technical impact in the upcoming period."
Meanwhile, Tau is expected to kickstart the new chapter in his football journey when his side take on United Arab Emirates outfit Al Nasr in the Qatar-UAE Super Cup final on Friday, 17 January.
