In a scathing attack, an ex-manager of Cristiano Ronaldo's boyhood club Sporting CP has now torn into the striker, accusing him of being selfish and greedy for money.
The Al Nassr superstar netted back-to-back braces for Portugal against Liechtenstein and Luxembourg in the 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifiers recently, extending his international goals record to 122 strikes.

He also became the most capped men's player in international football history with 198 appearances, but it now appears that some think it is time for the veteran marksman to retire from Selecao duty.
According to former Sporting manager Manuel Jose, new Portugal boss Roberto Martinez should move on from Ronaldo despite having reinstated him in the national team's starting XI in the latest international break.
"The coach has to have character and personality to make him [Ronaldo] realise some things: first his age, then that he's representing a country and wearing the shirt of a country and the value it has, and then he has to give examples of humility," the 76-year-old told Portuguese outlet Record.
"It's impressive, but Cristiano has forgotten his origins."
Jose went on to accuse the five-time Ballon d'Or winner of being selfish and greedy for money, referencing the comments the striker made when he called Martinez's arrival to the Portugal fold a "breath of fresh air".
"He doesn't know how to finish his career. It's money and more money," he continued.
"'Fresh air' would be if they took Ronaldo out of the national team. He behaved badly with [previous Portugal boss] Fernando Santos, with his colleagues and with the Portuguese.
"He has a dollar sign in each eye, and Bruno Fernandes just told the truth and put him in his place.
"Ronaldo will go down in history as the greatest or one of the greatest scorers in world football. No one takes that away from you.
"Now, he has an ego the size of the world and he only thinks about himself.
"On the field, it's him, then him and then him again. He only thinks about himself and no one else.
"He still hasn't been able to understand how old he is, that he is playing in a peripheral league and that he is no longer the Ronaldo of old times."
