A top European coach has admitted that Zinedine Zidane would be a good candidate to replace him in his current job.
It has been nearly four years since Zidane's last managerial role at Real Madrid in June 2021.
Since then, the Frenchman has reportedly turned down several offers to return to the dugout, with various clubs and national teams believed to have tried to persuade him.

Among those linked with his signature are Manchester United, the United States men's national team, as well as a few Saudi Arabian clubs.
But despite receiving many offers, it has long been reported that Zidane would only be interested in two roles: the France national team and Paris Saint-Germain.
His prospects of managing France in the future received a boost in January 2025 when the current national team coach, Didier Deschamps, announced that he would leave his role after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to French reports, Zidane was immediately touted as the favourite to replace Deschamps.
Speaking in an interview with French newspaper L'Équipe, Deschamps was asked about Zidane being his successor, to which he responded: "Yes, of course, there is a lot of respect between us.
"We last saw each other in the summer of 2023, and we should see each other again next summer, for the same reasons.
"Zizou is a very good candidate, natural and I would add expected. Afterwards, I don't know if he will want to become the manager."
Elsewhere, France will play a two-legged quarter-final against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League on 20 and 23 March 2025.
