A number of high-profile footballers opted to leave Europe for the Saudi league, including Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane, Neymar, Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante.
However, Griezmann has revealed that Atletico were contacted about his services but he was keen to stay in the Spanish capital.
There were calls and contacts, I was focused on my club, I'm 15 goals away from the record for the club's all-time top scorer," the World Cup winner said.
"It's as I told my sister: I'm not moving, I'm staying here."
"I'm going to try and break the record, it's taken a while to reinstate myself in the eyes of the fans – it isn't the moment to leave."
Griezmann finished the 2022/2023 season with 15 goals and 16 assists across all competitions for Los Rojiblancos, which earned him a nomination for this year's Ballon d'Or.
