The Norway international has agreed to a nine-and-a-half-year deal, which will expire in June 2034.

Furthermore, journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that a substantial release clause has been included in the contract, which can be activated from 2029.

Haaland's initial contract was set to expire in June 2027, with clubs like FC Barcelona reportedly considering signing the player in the coming seasons.

Additionally, it is said that all release clauses included in his original contract have been removed.

Despite only joining City in July 2022 from Borussia Dortmund, the 24-year-old has an incredible 111 goals and 15 assists in 126 games for the reigning Premier League champions, as per Transfermarkt.

His trophy cabinet since moving to the Etihad Stadium comprises five trophies, including the UEFA Champions League and two Premier League titles.

Speaking on City's official website recently, Haaland spoke of his determination to see results improve at the club amid their slump of late.

"It has been weird (to lose so many games), but it has been giving me motivation and the hunger in my belly to keep going, to get better and to perform.

"You can speak about how we have been unlucky with injuries and we have, but you can't look for excuses. The good thing is that we have so many games and we can go straight to the next game to try to turn things around and that is what we are doing.
