MC Alger coach warns Pirates ahead of CAF CL clash

MC Alger coach Khaled Ben Yahia has sent a strong message to Jose Riveiro and his team ahead of their crucial CAF Champions League quarter-final first leg against Orlando Pirates.

The Sea Robbers will be playing away in North Africa as they are set to square off against the People's Club on Tuesday at the July 5 1962 Stadium in Algeria.

Both teams will be looking for a favorable outcome ahead of the second leg scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at the Orlando Stadium.

Riveiro's side has performed well in the group stages against North African sides, having beaten CR Beluizdad and the 12-time Champions League titleholders Al Ahly in Egypt.

While he understands the threat posed by the Premier Soccer League heavyweights, Ben Yahia has insisted his side is fully prepared ahead of their eagerly awaited encounter on Tuesday.

"We are expecting a tough match against a strong and well-organized opponent, but we will strive for a positive result,'' Ben Yahia said, per Ennaharonline.com.

"We are ready for this match. The suspension of the tournament has given us a good opportunity to prepare better."

"We studied the opponent by watching many of its matches on video. We have a clear idea of their style of play."
