Wydad captain Jamal Harkass has shared his thoughts ahead of the highly anticipated fixture and while speaking to FIFA, he acknowledged the magnitude of the task ahead but insisted his side is embracing the challenge.
"Our group is very difficult because it includes some big clubs: Manchester City, Juventus, and Al Ain," he said. "The players are looking forward to these matches, and we are already working hard to get ready for them.
The Wydad skipper singled out the English giants as a particularly tough opponent, recognising the level of precision needed to stand a chance against Guardiola's side.
"No doubt, Manchester City will be a tough match considering they're former European champions," he continued. "We have to play at a high level without mistakes, as it's one of those matches that will be won on small details."
The Moroccan outfit have enjoyed an upturn in form in 2025 under Mokwena, who has already stamped his authority on the side since taking charge.
"He's a great coach. He always motivates us to give more on the pitch, and that's an incentive for us to do our best to prepare for the Club World Cup," Harkass added.
